Helpful Canna is the culmination of 12 years in the cannabis industry and a genuine passion for helping people navigate medical cannabis with confidence.

This work has always been about more than cannabis itself. It is about healthcare, education, access, and creating a comfortable environment where anyone can ask real questions and receive thoughtful guidance from someone who understands both the patient experience and the cannabis industry.

Over the last 12 years, our founder, John Zurawski, has worked across multiple cannabis markets alongside doctors, physical therapists, medical cannabis certification clinics, dispensaries, cannabis businesses, patients, and their families. That experience has included patient education, dispensary operations, staff training, product knowledge, and helping people better understand how cannabis may fit into their individual goals and quality of life.

Helpful Canna was created to bring all of that experience together.

We help patients understand the basics, ask better questions, navigate dispensaries and products, and feel more informed about their cannabis journey. Consultations can take place virtually, over the phone, by email, or, when appropriate, in person at a scheduled location.

Our focus remains especially strong in the Chicagoland cannabis community while continuing to support patients and professionals across multiple markets.
